Proverbs 13:24

Whoever spares the rod hates their children,

but the one who loves their children is careful to discipline them.

I hope my children realize why I was a "mean mom."

Yes, I was young and impatient. But I wanted them to be well behaved and polite.  I didn't want them to be an embarrassment to themselves or to me.  And even though I didn't know it at the time.  I was obeying God's word.  

We need more "mean moms" in the world today.

Help today's parents to seek your wisdom. 

Help me to continue to love my children by following Your commands.
