Proverbs 14:23
All hard work brings a profit,
    but mere talk leads only to poverty.

So I'm thinking that I need to work hard to make my dream of being a writer come true.  I'm not doing this for the money, but because I feel God has given me an opportunity to share what H e has taught me with others.

How does a writer work hard?  I imagine I will need to spend more time on my computer.  (A bonus is that I will become a better typist.) 

I will spend less time doing unnecessary things like watching garbage TV.  

I will look into classes that will help me.

And most importantly, I will pray for God's guidance in this new career.

Father God, lead me!
