A rod and a reprimand impart wisdom,

but a child left undisciplined disgraces its mother.

Discipline your children, and they will give you peace;

they will bring you the delights you desire.

I posted an article I saw on Facebook earlier today called

The silent tragedy affecting today’s children.

The author is a children's occupational therapist and she is writing about what she has discovered after years of dealing with parents and kids.

She gives a list of dos and don'ts.  

She describes today's kids, comparing them to how things were years ago.

We need to take control of ourselves and our kids.  We need to be parents and teach our children to be useful, kind, polite, and responsible.  We need to not be afraid to say "NO!"

We need to know the truths of the bible and follow God's word.

Father God, You are the ultimate parent.  You will disciple us with love, reprimand us with mercy, and teach us patience.  Help us to follow Your example.  Amen.
