Romans12:9-10
Love must be sincere. Detest what is evil; cling to what is good. Be devoted to one another in brotherly love. Outdo yourselves in honoring one another.…

Last night was the Super Bowl.  The two teams were trying to outdo each other by scoring the most points and winning the game.  Can you imagine what it would look like if they were trying to outdo each other with brotherly love and honor:
After the kickoff all the players would run down the field and take turns catching and passing the ball.  They would run ahead and toss it back to another player.  I wouldn't matter what color jersey they wore.  The fun was playing a game.  No penalties, no concussions, no broken bones or missing teeth.  I wonder if that is what it will be like in Heaven. I know it would never work here on Earth.
I'm not saying football is evil. I like a good Steelers win, just as much as the next guy.  But football seems to be getting too much business and not enough game.
Father of all games, Help us to play our parts worthy of Your sacrifice.  Let us try to outdo each other with love, grace and mercy.  Amen.
