Easter Prayer for the Cavanaugh Clan

Father God, we want to thank you for sending Your son Jesus to live among us.  To teach us how to love and care for each other.  Today we especially want to thank You for sacrificing Your son to give us the hope of eternal life.

We thank You for this family around these tables,

We thank You for our health in mind and body,

We thank You for Your love and mercy to each of us,

And we thank You for the relationships we have with each other:

            Between moms and dads

            Between brothers and sisters

Between husbands and wives

Between parents and children

Between grandparents and grandkids

Between nieces and nephews

Between cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Yes, we are all connected.  We are placed in this family, at this time in history to learn to love, to glorify Your name, and to make a difference in this world.

Bless each of us with health, strength, and courage to live out our purpose.  The purpose that You created for us before each of us was born.  Keep us close to each other here on this earth and let us live together forever with You in Heaven.

In the name of Jesus, Our savior.  Amen.

Chattanooga

I was missing Jessica and Keith.  Julianne had a long weekend.  So we decided to fly to Chattanooga for a quick visit.  We had breakfast ant Bar Symon to begin our adventure.  The flight to Washington DC was a little bumpy, ok it was alot bumpy.  Our flight to Chattanooga was delayed, and delayed and finally cancelled.  What do we do now??? I went to customer service and stood in line with all the other people who had their flights cancelled as well.  One lady in front of me suggested Huntsville Alabama.  I text Jessica to see if they could pick us up there.  They said that would work for them.  Juli and I boarded the plane, Jess and Keith got in their car, and we arrived in Huntsville at the same time.  Thank You Jesus!

It was a nice drive up to Chattanooga.  We all were hungry so we went to their favorite place Chattanooga Brewing Company.  We had pretzels with beer cheese, wraps and beer.  Keith gave us a tour of their neighborhood.  We settled into their townhouse for the evening, catching up on family news and drinking more beer and whiskey.

Next day was Saturday and we went to see the Chattanooga Choo Choo.  We did some souviner shopping and had lunch at the Terminal Brewery (delicious post roast nachos.)  Aross the street was Chattanooga Whiskey, so of course we had to go in and taste.  We checked out Feed Tavern.  Rustic and wonderful food.  Then it was off to the Incline.  We got on and up we went.  It is the steepest, longest incline in the US.  From the top we could see 6 states.  We returned to Jess's home and watched Disney movies.

Our last day took us to Puckett's for brunch then a walk across the Walnut Street Bridge.  This bridge is the longest pedestrian bridge in the US.  We did some more shopping, then the girls rode the Carousel.  It was a nice visit to make sure they are settling in peacefully.  I think Bill and I plan to visit this summer then head south to the Florida Panhandle beaches.
